SYMPHONIES FOR SENIORS - SOUTH PALM BEACH CHAPTER
In May 2025, a passionate group of student musicians from middle through high school came together to establish the South Palm Beach Chapter of Symphonies for Seniors. Inspired by the power of music to connect generations, these young performers have begun bringing joy to seniors across South Palm Beach County. The chapter is committed to creating meaningful moments through music—sharing students’ talents, vibrant performances, and genuine compassion—to uplift the lives of seniors and strengthen the bond between youth and their community
Meet The South Palm Beach Chapter Officers
Leonardo Carvalho

Leonardo is an award-winning violinist and violist, with honors at both the state and national levels. As the visionary founder of OCApex Chamber Ensemble, he brings leadership and passion to the group. Outside of music, his favorite sport is ice hockey.
President
Andrew Chen
Andrew Chen is a dedicated young violinist who has achieved state-level recognition after only three years of study. In addition to music, Andrew has a strong interest in programming and science and has competed in state-level academic competitions. He is also the co-founder of the FreeCode Juniors program, which focuses on teaching younger students the fundamentals of coding and inspiring the next generation of young programmers.

Jeremy Shuhi
Jeremy Shuhi is a talented pianist at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. In addition to music, Jeremy is interested in fishing and basketball. By doing these activities, he learned to be patient, disciplined, and resilient.
Secretary
Zibo Nie
Zibo Nie is a passionate violist who has earned recognition at both the state and international levels. Beyond music, he enjoys coding and programming and is actively involved in robotics through VEX and FTC programs, competing at the national level. He is also a co-founder of the FreeCode Junior program, which focuses on teaching younger students the fundamentals of coding and fostering a passion for technology. In his free time, Zibo plays tennis as a member of his high school tennis team.

Ziqi is a highly accomplished violinist, recognized with multiple state and national awards. As a co-founder of OCApex, she not only leads musically but also enjoys swimming, painting, and exploring her creative side.
